BrightSpot Nails is expanding. 🤎 Meet our newest line: The Smoky Soul.

What started with a little tallow-based cuticle oil I made for myself has grown into something much bigger than I originally imagined.

The Smoky Soul is a new line of small-batch, handmade hand + skin care by BrightSpot Nails, inspired by the quiet beauty of the Smoky Mountains and a return to simpler, more intentional ingredients.

This line will begin with our tallow-infused cuticle elixirs, but that’s only the beginning. I’m working toward creams, balms, body care and—if my first soap-making adventure goes as planned—true handmade soaps as well. 🤎

What makes this especially meaningful to me is how these products are made.

I’m not starting with a finished product and simply adding a few ingredients to it. I’m starting with raw materials and building from there—rendering the tallow, infusing botanicals, developing formulas, experimenting, testing, and learning along the way.

The goal is simple: beautiful, nourishing products made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients and as little unnecessary stuff as possible.

No harsh synthetic ingredients. No parabens. No overwhelming clouds of fragrance.

Many of the products will be naturally unscented or scented through botanical infusions, with any added fragrance kept intentional and subtle. That’s important to me because I’m incredibly sensitive to strong scents myself, and I know I’m not the only one who would love skin care that doesn’t announce itself from across the room. 😂
